Since 1996 she has worked successfully as a specialist development consultant. Liz Kennedy worked as an HR practitioner in the pharmaceuticals industry before becoming a lecturer at the University of Westminster and management trainer. She has done extensive consultant work with the BBC and runs many training programmes in a great variety of public sector organisations.

Her last corporate role was as Head of Global Resourcing and Development for the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies.
